Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how CareH ("the app", "we") collects, uses, and protects information from users of the CareH mobile application, available on iOS and Android.

By using CareH, you agree to the terms described in this document.

1. Information We Collect

CareH is designed with privacy at its core. We do not require registration, a real name, or an email address to use the app.

Information generated while using the app includes:

Household data: room names and configuration, associated tasks, cleaning frequencies, and weekly plans.
Employee data: first name (optional), working days and hours configured by the employer.
Task progress: record of tasks completed during the day.
Access code: a 6-digit numeric code generated locally for the employee to access the app.
Household identifier: a randomly generated anonymous ID created on the employer's device, used to sync data across devices.

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or any other system permissions.

2. How We Use the Information

The information collected is used exclusively to:

Display the day's tasks to both the employer and the employee.
Generate and sync the weekly plan across devices.
Allow the employee to access the app via a code without registration.

We do not use information for advertising, user profiling, or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

3. Storage and Synchronization

Data is stored in two ways:

Locally on the device: via AsyncStorage (internal app storage).
In the cloud: via Firebase Firestore (Google), under the anonymous household identifier. Synced data includes room configuration, employee info, and weekly plans.

      ⚠️ Data stored in Firebase Firestore is associated with an anonymous household ID generated on the device. CareH cannot identify which person corresponds to that ID.
    

4. Firebase and Third Parties

CareH uses Firebase Firestore by Google as its cloud database. Google may process data in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can review it at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

We do not use any other third-party services for analytics, advertising, or user tracking.

5. Children's Privacy

CareH is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can delete it.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect stored information. However, no electronic transmission or storage system is 100% secure. We recommend not entering sensitive information beyond what is necessary to use the app.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Local data is deleted when the app is uninstalled. Data in Firebase Firestore may persist associated with the household ID. If you wish to request deletion of your cloud data, please contact us with the household ID shown in the app settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this document. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
